田凱,this article may not meet notability,please check it,thank you!--Aoke1989(会话) 2018年7月11日 (水) 14:36 (UTC)
- @Stck w: Sir, could you lend a help for this problem, please?
- @Aoke1989 and Veracious: I'm very sorry to have kept you two waiting so long. First of all, Den Gai-san won a grand prize at the 19th photo contest 1_WALL. This award is recognized as a gateway to success for young photographers, but since it is featured in the Japanese photographic magazine Asahi Camera, I don't think it is an award without authority (please refer to this link). When I looked for significant third-party references to help determine whether this person meet the notability guideline or not, I found comments from several experts about his photographic work on display at 1_WALL. In my opinion, reflecting these comments to the Wikipedia article to some extent will satisfy the notability. This link also provides a brief introduction to his career as a photographer.
- However, I couldn't find any third-party references to discuss his background or his general style based on his multiple works. It can't be helped because he's a rookie photographer, but I think it is desirable that such information is included in the article. In my opinion, Wikipedia articles about people in the art field should mention their style or social appraisal sufficiently. I also searched for his name in major Japanese newspapers (Asahi, Mainichi, Nikkei, and Yomiuri) just in case, but I couldn't find any related articles. By the way, his personal exhibition is scheduled to be held next month as a result of receiving the award at 1_WALL, so more information sources with significant references to him may be released in the future.
- Anyway, while some users may point out that winning the above award alone doesn't necessarily guarantee that Den Gai-san has met the standards for writing a separate article, I think the issue at present will be how authoritative the "1_WALL award" is in this field.--stck_w (Talk/Edits) 2019年6月22日 (土) 12:30 (UTC)
Japanese translation for Wikipedia:Notice on the National Museum ?
Sadly a fire decimated the National Museum of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro. The Portuguese Wikipedia community therefore started a campaign for people who have visited the museum to submit photographs of the collection to the Wikimedia Commons.
The original site notice is here: pt:Wikipédia:Comunicado_sobre_o_Museu_Nacional. I created an English translation here: pt:Wikipédia:Comunicado_sobre_o_Museu_Nacional/en.
I am aware Sao Paulo has a large Japanese community, and Rio de Janeiro and Manaus also have some Japanese expatriates. If anyone is interested, please create a Japanese translation at pt:Wikipédia:Comunicado_sobre_o_Museu_Nacional/ja. Thank you!
Help with a project
I am initiating a project to record the name of my language in all the languages present in Wikipedia. First, I encourage you to create / improve the article on the Asturian language and, on the other hand, to help me in my project I would need a man and a woman to record how it is said in your language: Asturian . Thanks in advance.

Do we have Twinkle here?
Hello, I'm from the English language Wikipedia. As my Japanese is poor, I'm asking here. Do we have a form of Twinkle here? I fight vandalism and I wonder if we have it here.
- @Felicia777: Hi. Twinkle seems to be not available yet as far as I checked the gadgets tab of my preferences page. User:Infinite0694-san, a sysop on Japanese Wikipedia, has posted messages implying that he/she is highly motivated to add Twinkle as a gadget option at some village pump pages (such as Wikipedia:井戸端/subj/日本語版長期荒らし利用者の英語版での編集差し戻しについて or Wikipedia:井戸端/subj/「巻き戻し」を使うのは荒し相手に限られるか), but still no one has ever discussed the installation of Twinkle at the gadget proposals page, I think.

Hello! We noticed on Wikidata that you have two articles about “flash fiction”: ショートショート and フラッシュフィクション. Could you please check them and tell us what are the differences? Thanks in advance!
- Could somebody take a look?
- @Bencemac: Sorry for late response. フラッシュフィクション is the direct transpriction to katakana character of "flash fiction". ショートショート means "short short story" and it is still more popular name in Japan.--Jishinni (talk) 2019年5月24日 (金) 13:56 (UTC)
- @Jishinni: So if I understand correctly, these articles are about two different subjects, aren't they? If yes, we do not have to merge them and my question is answered.
- @Bencemac: I think we do not distinguish them exactly and the difference is vague in Japanese, so I am not sure they are different subjects. Perhaps we should merge フラッシュフィクション with ショートショート in Japanese Wikipedia because フラッシュフィクション is a substub. Sorry for unclear answer.
- Thanks for your answer! Merge them if you think that necessary.

I want to give my opinion (but I can't because I don't know much Japanese, and when I tried to edit it was reverted back...) about the articles about Emperor Akihito (上皇明仁) and Prince Hisahito (悠仁親王), because there are a very long family tree that is not necessary in my opinion (上皇明仁#オルターナティブ形式、悠仁親王#familytree形式). The reason is simple - it's from 皇室の系図一覧#familytree形式 and not everyone is interested about it; plus, why would we need it if 徳仁, 秋篠宮文仁親王 or any other emperors don't even include the family tree?
