AtHearth, Inc. is a real estate tech company consisted of a real estate x technical real estate company which is a startup enterprise and whose Headquarters is based in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo to focus on foreigners.

Corporate activity

Since its establishment in 2015, it has consistently provided “real estate services for foreigners”.

It has been developing a real estate service to be completed only online since 2018 so that it can help foreigners who feel difficult to find rental rooms in Japan and Japanese who seek for international environments and work out real estate owners who have a problem certain numbers of rooms to let.

History

  • 2015
    • October – The company was founded by Tomonari Kino based in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Started the operation of "Tokyo Hearth" which is a share house communicated only in English.
    • December - Established an overseas internship program named "Global Wing" [1] for Japanese students studied abroad on the West Coast.
  • September, 2016 – Undertook consignment business to provide internship and employment support services to 800 foreign students through The Employment Bureau of Tokyo International University.
  • November, 2017 - Adopted for the startup support program "Innovation Creation Support Program for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises ((Hiyaku (Jump-up) Next Enterprise)"[2] were decided and officially dispatched to Europe (exhibited to JUNCTION Helsinki[3]、Slush Helsinki[4]TechCrunch Berlin[5]
  • 2018
    • January - Adopted for "X-HUB TOKYO[6]" that was sponsored by Tokyo Metropolitan as a support program for entrepreneurs who tried to expand their business to overseas markets.
    • April - Participated in an accelerator program named "VOYAGER"[7]. Made a presentation on "Creating services to facilitate effective uses of underutilized real estates" under the mentoring by Takateru Kawano, President, Chief Executive Officer of TKP Corporation.
    • July - Released beta version of "Be Living [8]" that is a real estate service to be completed only online in order to increase international-styled housing.
    • August - Won "StarBurst [9] [10] which is the operator of the largest startup community in Japan[11].
    • September - Participated in the 11th "Incubate Camp[12]”. Won 【4th overall ranking】, 【2nd Prize of Best Growth Award】and 【Sponsor Award】among the participations of the 16 startup entrepreneurs who had won out in the event that is entrepreneurs and investors jointly brush up their business ideas in a training camp style.
  • 2019
    • February – Changed the company name from Tokyo Hearth, Inc. to AtHearth, Inc. [13]. Started offering "At Hearth" which is a multilingual platform for online rental contracts. [14]
  • 2020
    • October – Raised total of JPY81 million (USD750 thousand) as a capital increase through third-party allocation. The underwriters were Genesia Ventures who was already one of the shareholders and an angel investor, Mr. Takashi Shibayama. [15]
