UpToDateは、株式会社UpToDateが管理する、医療情報ウェブサイトないしアプリケーション。インターネット版とオフライン版があり、パソコンやPDAで利用することができる。エビデンスに基づき、査読を経た情報で構成され、4ヶ月毎に更新版が発行される。
執筆陣は3600人以上の医療関係者からなり、7300以上の題目が作成されている。医薬品データベースや医療用計算機も付録されており、医師や学生には他の類似のサービスよりも好まれ、頻繁に使用されていると言われる[1][2][3][4]。なお、UpToDateでは、患者向けの情報も提供されている。
UpToDateのウェブサイトの立ち上げは1992年で、ジョゼフ・ラッシュ博士とバートン・D・ローズ博士によって開設された。

Cost
[編集]Many of the services require a subscription: for example, in 2011 a new online subscription for 1 year costs $495, $195 for trainees. Renewals and longer subscriptions are less expensive. For institutional or group practices, prices vary. An offline version for personal computers costs $1495 per year (all prices exclude shipping and handling).
Recommendations
[編集]UpToDate is recommended by the American Academy of Family Physicians and an official educational program of or offered in cooperation with the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American College of Rheumatology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Thoracic Society, Society of General Internal Medicine and The Endocrine Society. It offers credits for continuing medical education for physicians and nurse practitioners.
