リシャブ・シェッティ（Rishab Shetty、1983年 7月7日^[3] - ）は、インドのカンナダ語映画で活動する俳優、映画監督、映画プロデューサー。代表作には監督・主演を務めた『Kantara』があり、これまでに国家映画賞、フィルムフェア賞南インド映画部門、カルナータカ州映画賞（英語版）を受賞している。

生い立ち

1983年7月7日にマンガルールのカドリ（英語版）に暮らすブント（英語版）家庭に生まれる^[4]^[5]^[6]^[7]。クンダプラ（英語版）で教育を受けた後、ベンガルールのヴィジャヤ・カレッジ（英語版）に進学して商学の学位を取得している。クンダプラで暮らしていたころにヤクシャガーナ（英語版）を通して演劇に触れ、ベンガルール移住後は積極的に演劇活動に参加して技術を高く評価され、これをきっかけに俳優を目指すようになったという^[8]。

キャリア

大学卒業後は飲料水販売や不動産業、ホテルの従業員などの仕事を転々としながら俳優を目指し^[9]^[10]、ベンガルールの州立映画テレビ研究所に就学して演出科コースを修了した^[11]。その後は映画界に進み助監督などの仕事をこなして経験を積み、このころにラクシット・シェッティと出会い友人になった。

2012年に『Tuglak』で俳優デビューした^[12]。2013年は『Lucia』で警官役を演じており、2014年にはラクシット・シェッティの『Ulidavaru Kandanthe』で主要キャストに起用された。2016年にはラクシット・シェッティを主演に起用した『Ricky』で監督デビューしたが、興行収入は平均的な結果に終わった。同年末に監督を務めた『Kirik Party』では興行的な成功を収め、2018年に監督を務めた『Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shaale, Kasaragodu, Koduge: Ramanna Rai』は批評家から絶賛され、国家映画賞児童映画賞（英語版）を受賞した。2019年に『ベルボトム（英語版）』で主演デビューし、2021年には『Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana』でギャング役を演じた。同作は興行的な成功を収めたほか、リシャブ・シェッティは主演のラージ・B・シェッティ（英語版）と共に演技を絶賛された^[13]。2022年は『Mishan Impossible』『Harikathe Alla Girikathe』に出演し、『Kantara』では監督・主演を務めている^[14]。同作はカンナダ語圏のみで公開されたが、批評家から高い評価を受けて吹替版が製作されインド各地でも公開された^[15]。また、カンナダ語映画歴代興行成績第2位にランクインするなど興行的にも成功を収めており、リシャブ・シェッティもインド国際映画祭審査員特別賞（英語版）、国家映画賞主演男優賞を受賞するなど高い評価を得ている^[16]^[17]。
