Alternative hexadecimal notation 0123456789DGHJKV (instead of 0123456789ABCDEF) on NEC NEAC 1103?

[編集]

Hi! (Sorry, I don't speak Japanese, so I'll have to use English.) In the article en:Hexadecimal in the English Wikipedia, we mention a NEC parametron computer NEAC 1103, which apparently used the letters D, G, H, J, K (and possibly V) for the numbers 10-15 (A-F) in hexadecimal notation (十六進法). This can be derived from one source [1]. Since this document is a bit vague and does not even mention the letter V explicitly. we are looking for other (better) sources. Also, at least from a Western perspective, this choice of letters appears a bit odd, but there certainly is a good explanation for this. Can you provide some background on this? Have there been other Japanese computers using alternative hexadecimal notations? Feel free to edit the English article or join the discussion over there. Thanks a lot. --Matthiaspaul会話2017年5月31日 (水) 12:03 (UTC)[返信]
