ウィー・ウィリー・ウィンキー

「ウィー・ウィリー・ウィンキー」（Wee Willie Winkie）とは、1841年にウィリアム・ミラーにより書かれた同名のスコットランド童謡のベッドタイムの象徴であり、マザーグースの1つに分類されている。ウィー・ウィリー・ウィンキーはラドヤード・キップリング原作の1937年にシャーリー・テンプル主演で映画化された『テンプルの軍使』（Wee Willie Winkie）の主人公名および原題でもある。ジャスパー・フォードの2005年の著作The Big Over Easyにも同名の人物（William Winky）が登場する。

Skirlin' like a kenna-what, wauk'nin' sleepin' fock.

Ruggin' at the cat's lug, and ravelin' a' her thrums

Wearit is the mither that has a stoorie wean,

A wee stumple stoussie, that canna rin his lane,

That has a battle aye wi' sleep before he'll close an ee

But a kiss frae aff his rosy lips gies strength anew to me.

猫の耳を引っ張って喉鳴りを乱してる

うんざりなのは母親。埃っぽい子供を持った

自分では走れない小さなちびっ子

いつも目を閉じようとするまえに眠りと戦う

でも彼の薔薇色の唇のキスは新しく力を与えてくれる
