ブリティッシュ・グレナディアーズ

ブリティッシュ・グレナディアーズ（英: The British Grenadiers）は、イギリス軍の擲弾兵部隊等が使用する行進曲。英国擲弾兵あるいは英国擲弾兵連隊行進曲などと表記される場合もある。

作曲者、作詞者不詳。体力・精神力に優れる精鋭部隊とされた擲弾兵の勇敢さを歌っている。17世紀末までは、さまざまな歌詞で歌われていた。17世紀後半、近衛歩兵第一連隊（後のグレナディアガーズ）を始めとして、各歩兵連隊に擲弾兵中隊が設けられた後、現在の歌詞が主流となった。そして、各歩兵連隊の擲弾兵中隊の行進曲として使われるようになった。

1815年、近衛歩兵第一連隊はグレナディアガーズ（擲弾兵近衛連隊）に改名したのに伴い、この曲を連隊の速歩行進曲として制定した。また、ヨーロッパ大陸諸国の擲弾兵連隊に相当するイギリスのフュージリア連隊は、1820年代に擲弾の帽章を与えられ、1835年以降ブリティッシュ・グレナディアーズを連隊制式速歩行進曲として使用した。これらの連隊は後に他の連隊と統合されたが、ロイヤル・フュージリアーズ連隊は4個のフュージリア連隊を統合した連隊なので、速歩行進曲としてこの曲が採用された。但し、各歩兵連隊にあった擲弾兵中隊は1850年代に廃止されている。

現在でも、グレナディアガーズ、名誉砲兵中隊、ロイヤル・フュージリアーズ連隊の連隊制式速歩行進曲（2つの制式行進曲のうち速い方）である。また、ロイヤル・ジブラルタル連隊、カナダ砲兵連隊、カナダ近衛擲弾兵連隊、ロイヤル・カナダ連隊、プリンセス・ルイーズ・フュージリアーズ、第5カナダ騎馬ライフルズでも行進曲として公認されている。
