Requests for bot flags

• Before requesting for approval of your bot, you have to:
  1. Make certain to create a user page for your bot account:
     1. Describe your bot's purpose, language bot script is written, what program(s) it uses (pywikipedia framework, etc)
     2. Describe whether it is manually assisted or automatically scheduled to run
     3. Describe who operates the bot, how to contact the operator
     4. Add the bot's user page to Category:Wikipedia bots
  2. Run your bot without a bot flag at least for a week, at intervals of 30 seconds or longer
• When requesting for approval of your bot, you have to demonstrate the following:
  1. The bot is harmless
  2. The bot is useful
  3. The bot is not a server hog
• If a sysop gives you approval for the bot and nobody opposes it, then a bot flag may be requested at m:Requests for bot status.
• After granted bot status, please modify the bot list on Wikipedia:Bot.

Submit your request.

Tangobot

Tangobotは言語間リンクBotです。英語版と日本語版の同時ログインで、英語版では主に日本語版へのリンクのみを扱っています（enwikiのポリシーが異なるため）。日本語版ではすべての言語へのリンクを扱います。一週間の試用期間を行いましたので、Botフラグをいただければ幸いです。どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。 -- Tangotango 2006年4月27日 (木) 11:35 (UTC)

上記の英語版: Tangobot is a multi-logon interwiki linking bot. On the English Wikipedia, Tangobot mainly makes links to the Japanese Wikipedia (due to enwiki policy), but on the Japanese Wikipedia, it will add/remove all interwiki links as needed. I've tested the bot for one week now; please may I have a bot flag for the Japanese Wikipedia? (The bot has already been flagged on enwiki). Thank you! -- Tangotango 2006年4月29日 (土) 05:24 (UTC)

Bot-chan

Hello, I am Thijs! from the Netherlands. I run my bot Thijs!bot on many wikipedia's an many languages.

I would like to add ja: to this list, since it will not cause any extra server load to add another wikipedia to the list. The bot uses the pywikipedia platform, uses Flacus' warnfiles and the Dutch wikipedia as its source and runs on: en, de, fr, es, it, pt, gl, ca, nl, nds, nds-nl, is, sv, no, nn, fi, hu, pl, ru, uk, bs, be, cy, id, io, ia, ie, bg, simple and a few more. I think it makes right interlang links. The only problem is its speed.

JAnD

Please for bot flag for my bot. It's interwiki bot working on cs:, his main domain is human assisted problematical interwiki and interwiki for same names of articles (this operation is working on about 40 languages at same time, but maximal 10 pages per day).

Sometimes this bot do standard interwiki addiction, but only in the languages with bot flag.

Bot is based on pywikipedia. Already with bot status: cs, eo, sl, pl, de, sr, hr, da, en, el, es, it, sk, sh... Awaiting for bot: fi, pt, bn, vec...

Erwin85Bot

I'd like to request bot status for User:Erwin85Bot. I'm an active user and sysop on nl: and I'll work on adding interwiki's on nds-nl:. However to minimize the server load I'd like to add backlinks from other wikipedia's to nds-nl as well. So other bots don't have to load the same pages again. The bot will always run manually assisted. In cases where I don't know what interwiki to use, I will simply give up. I've made some test edits, which you can see here. Rei-bot

I'm requesting bot status for my interwiki bot (pywikipedia, interwiki.py) on this wiki. I am an admin at pt.wikipedia, and run the bot from articles there. Mainly new articles and articles whithout iw links. Rei-bot currently has botflag on pt, it. I requested for it on es, eo, da, nl, fi, fr, ro, cs, pl, gl, eu, too.

Cprobot

Category‐ノート:漫画家#国別カテゴリの提案に基づき、約2000記事のカテゴリ貼り替えを予定しています。RCの邪魔にならないためにbotフラグを申請します。botの特徴は以下:

• クローラではありません。タスクに指定した記事のみを編集します。
• ログイン -> (GET -> POST) * 記事数 -> ログアウト で、記事数 * 2 + 2回のリクエストを発行します。
• テスト時は投稿ごとに45秒のウェイトを入れていましたが、フラグが付与されればこれを20秒にする予定です（レスポンスを含めると大体22～30秒くらいの投稿間隔になると思います）。
