English: Double-crested Cormorant (Phalacrocorax auritus) flying in the sun at Devereux Lagoon (a.k.a. Devereux Slough) in Goleta, Santa Barbara County, California, U.S.A., just minutes before sunset. This very bird had been on a branch above my head until a few moments ago. It was suddenly knocked off the branch by another Double-crested Cormorant and started flying toward the ocean. I followed it with my camera and captured this shot.
